Malice in Miniature (Dorothy Martin Mysteries, No. 4) by Kate Reading,Jeanne M. Dams

Dorothy Martin's husband, the illustrious Chief Constable Nesbitt, has long claimed that if the Olympics held an event for conclusion jumping, Dorothy would be a contender for the gold medal. Her bold American ways occasionally offend the Brits' proper sensibilities, but even her husband can't deny she has a nose(or perhaps the nosiness) for first-rate investigative work.

When a friend enlists Dorothy to clear her son--who has a wee problem with the bottle--of thievery charges. Dorothy dons one of her most outlandish hats and sets out for the Doll House Museum at the imposing Brocklesby Hall. But two murders put more than a miniature Sevres tea set at stake and Dorothy finds herself maneuvering a complicated plot that is trickier and more dangerous than any of England's daunting roundabouts.

I really enjoy this series. Predictable can be very nice. I'm a fan of cozies
so this is right up my alley. Will continue with it. Good seller. RIght on time.

I have enjoyed EVERY book in this series. I do love a mystery, and find this series to be one of the most fun. Dorothy is likeable, intelligent and old enough to retire! Yet, she is active, interesting and curious. Am reading through the series now, will definately read all of them.

Perfect read

Great read !!

Tegore
Great read, well thought out story - and as a miniature lover I do appreciate miniatures taking such a prominent role in this book :-)

Zepavitta
I've read most of her books over the years, she just keeps getting better and better. The earlier one were OK, but the last couple have been very good. If you love "cozies" and are any kind of an Anglophile, you will love this book, too.

Gavigamand
I love Dorothy Martin, an American in England. I envy her! Story line was good and I love the relationship between Dorothy and Alan. A relationship to have when you reach her age, which is my age.

Felt the. Story just kept plugging along, but never quite getting there. Although the ending is very surprising.
Wish the characters had had more color to them
